Monitoring
At AHS we take anesthesia & surgical monitoring very seriously. It is the backbone of any surgical procedure. We always place the safety of your pet first so during each procedure a veterinary nurse acts as anesthesiologist, closely monitoring each patient. Your pet is placed on a ventilator, its heart rate, oxygen saturation, carbon dioxide, blood pressure, EKG & respiratory rate are monitored & recorded. This allows any potential problem to be addressed as it arises. Each anesthesia record is then scanned into the pet’s permanent medical record.
Recovery
After a surgical procedure is performed each pet recovers on a padded bed be until the endo tracheal tube is removed and the pet is ready to be moved into their perspective hospital ward.
