Meet Our Skilled Guest Services Assistants

Kelly joined our team in 2023. She was born in Amsterdam, NY but grew up in Rensselaer, NY where she graduated from Rensselaer Senior High School.

Add Nykkole to our crew of Statesville natives! Born and raised here, she came to Animal Hospital of Statesville to find her dream job of working with animals. She attended CATS (Career Academy & Technical School) where she studied art and photography. She is married to Mark.

Joe was born in Copiague, NY and grew up in Sayville, also in New York. He graduated from Sayville High School and proceeded on to UNC Charlotte to earn his degree in English with a minor in Japanese.

Amber joined our GSA staff in 2024. She's local enough - born and raised in Olin, North Carolina! She attended North Iredell High School and went on to Virginia Tech to graduate with a B.S. in Animal Science with an emphasis in Equine and Companion Animals.

Betty joined our Guest Services Team in April of 2024. She's another local - born and raised in Iredell County. She attended North Iredell High School. Betty also went to school for Cosmetology. She and her husband, Jack, have a Miniature Poodle to round off their family.

No one can say we don't hire local! Ashlee, like so many of our other staff members, is a Statesville, NC native. Ashleeduated from West Iredell High School and attended Mitchell Community College to get her core credits in order to go to school for veterinary technology online at Penn

Melissa is ANOTHER one of our Statesville natives. She graduated from Statesville High School and then went on to earn her BS in Elementary Education from University of North Carolina, Charlotte. Melissa swore that when she retired, she wanted to work with animals, so...here she is!
