Registered Veterinary Technician
We have another potential snow crew staff member! Jessica (Jess) was born in Minneapolis, MN and grew up in Coon Rapids, north of Minneapolis, so she's used to the cold weather. Well, at least she was - not sure about now! She graduated from Coon Rapids High School and later attended St. Cloud State University where she received her BS in Biology. As if that wasn't enough, she then attended Argosy University and earned her CVT, or Certified Veterinary Technician degree. FYI - some states call their registered technicians CVTs - in North Carolina, they are RVTs. Regardless, all are credentialed technicians. Jess has also been certified as a Registered Lab Animal Technologist (RLATG) in lab science.
Jess is a busy mom with 1 son, Braydin, and has a "zoo", 5 in total, of rescued dogs and cats. She treasures family time with her son, reading, fishing, hiking, Zumba and playing soccer. To add to her already stellar credentials, Jess would also like to become Fear Free Certified. She applied to AHS, and we were thrilled to have her come and see what we are all about. She says she admired the communication and the caring atmosphere among our staff and doctors. We are thrilled to have her join our team!
