Veterinarian
Dr. Kristin Christy joined the Animal Hospital team in 2015 because of the Animal Hospital's quality of care, as illustrated by its AAHA accreditation, the constant innovations, and the desire to do new and better things - something which is still true over a decade later. Plus, she was classmates with Dr. Gaither and liked working with a familiar face. She will practice at both the Statesville and South Main locations, upon the opening of South Main in October, 2025.
As a North Carolina native, she attended North Carolina State University for both undergraduate studies and veterinary school at their College of Veterinary Medicine. She graduated in 2005 and worked in different parts of the state before settling here in Statesville.
Dr. Christy's thoroughness and attention to detail make her a fantastic doctor and a great jack-of-all-trades within the hospital. She is very collaborative with patients, clients, and other doctors to ensure the best outcomes for her patients. Like the Animal Hospital team as a whole, she takes seriously the trust her clients place in her to provide the very best for their pets and truly loves what she does.
Dr. Christy and her husband, Chad, live on a small farm with a range of animals - three Great Pyrenees, a cat, several goats, some chickens and a few roosters. When they're able to get away from the farm, Dr. Christy and Chad enjoy taking their camper out to explore the beautiful parks and landscapes around the United States.
