Veterinary Patient Care Team, Assistant Puppy Socialization Class Instructor
Andrea is a local girl, born and raised. She graduated from Statesville High School and went on to Mitchell Community College. Andrea is currently taking online classes with Penn Foster College to earn her degree in Veterinary Technology to become a Registered Veterinary Technician, or RVT.
Andrea is back to working with us full time. She said she just couldn't stay away! We're so glad to have her back again, as she works her way through college.
Married to husband Christopher, they have one dog, Zeus. Her interests include anything to do with learning about veterinary medicine and improving her skills so she can take the best care of her patients. She loves reading, journaling, any aquatic activity, golfing, shagging and, of course, keeping up with her favorite Clemson Tigers!
A real go-getter, Andrea has well-defined goals of finishing tech school and becoming the best technician she can be so she can take excellent care of all your furbabies. Future plans include returning to school after becoming certified so that she can specialize in something - she's just not quite sure what, at this point. She has multiple interests, so with time, she'll figure that out!
Andrea says she's always wanted to work here. When she left AHS due to her course load and travel time (she lives outside of Statesville now), it was probably only a day (or less) that she wanted to come back and work part-time. We were happy to work with her schedule to help her stay! Now, she's back full time, and as big a joy to work with as ever! Andrea said that Dr. Gaither and RVT Diane had taken care of her first dog, and she was in love with the profession and AHS ever since. The feeling is mutual!
